Research
My recent study is focused on to achieve improved mechanical properties and performance of metal-based structural materials by controlling the microstructure consisting of multi-materials and multi-phases at multi-scale levels. Especially, the hetero-interfaces such as interfaces between dissimilar materials and dissimilar phases are utilized to control the microstructure. In order to clarify the effect of the hetero-interfaces on the microstructure and mechanical properties, the formation behaviors of the interface itself and the microstructure from interface are investigated as well as the mechanical properties.
