Biomedical engineering is an interdisciplinary area where medicine and engineering are merged. Actually, biomaterials including various polymers have been successfully used and contributed to medicine. Here we further develop these biomaterials to propose innovative medicine and contribute to better future medicine together with clinicians. In particular, with biomaterials-based cell surface engineering, we work with
・ Stem cell-based cell therapy
・ Organ transplantation
・ Endovascular therapy
・ 3D tissue/organ structure
to contribute to practical midicine. We closely collaborate with Uppsala University in Sweden to work with these projects.."
